Position Overview
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional with excellent attention to detail, strong time management skills, and proven experience managing client books using QuickBooks Online. This role involves working closely with both the bookkeeping team and the office manager.
After an initial 30-day in-office training period, hybrid and remote work options are available for local candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records for multiple clients using QuickBooks Online
- Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and payroll entries
- Prepare and file 1099 forms
- Interface with accounting and document management software, including ATOM, Truss, and OneDrive
- Collaborate with clients and team members to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting

Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience (required)

- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to learn new software quickly and work efficiently in a digital environment

This role is ideal for professionals seeking flexible, remote work during tax season, with potential opportunities for year-round collaboration or a transition to a permanent position. We are seeking a part-time tax preparer for the 2026 season with the potential option for full-time work in 2027.
After an initial onboarding and training period, hybrid or remote options are available for local candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual, corporate, trust, and estate tax returns
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state tax laws and filing deadlines
- Communicate proactively with clients to provide excellent service and tax expertise

Qualifications
